The
Real love
I always keep a secret.
All my words
Are sung outside Her window,
For when She lets me in
I take a thousand oaths of silence.
But,
Then She says,
O, then God says,
“What the hell, Hafiz,
Why not give the whole world
My address.”

In the bulb…there is a flower,
In the seed………an apple tree,
In cocoons….a hidden promise,
Butterflies will soon be free.
In the cold and snow of winter,
There’s a spring that waits to be,
From the past will comes the future;
What it holds a mystery,
In our end is our beginning;
In our time, infinity.
In our doubt, there is believing,
In our life eternity.
There’s a song in every silence,
Seeking word and melody;
There’s a dawn in every darkness,
Bringing hope to you and me.
In our death, a resurrection,
at last a victory
Unrevealed until its season,
something yet un-know
Which God alone can see!"

Cupbearer, it is morning, fill my cup with wine.
Make haste, the heavenly sphere knows no delay.
Before this transient world is ruined and destroyed,
ruin me with a beaker of rose-tinted wine.
The sun of the wine dawns in the east of the goblet.
Pursue life’s pleasure, abandon dreams,
and the day when the wheel makes pitchers of my clay,
take care to fill my skull with wine!
We are not men for piety, penance and preaching
but rather give us a sermon in praise of a cup of clear wine.
Wine-worship is a noble task, O Hafiz;
rise and advance firmly to your noble task.
English version by Bernard Lewis
The meanings attributed to wine in Persian poetry can be traced to their connection with the Sufi mystics. In Sufi literature, wine symbolized a union with divine love and knowledge through direct personal experience with God.
Let a true guide enter your life in silence,
Because his message is only heard in silence.
Take a sip of his precious wine
And lose yourself in silence.
Do not insult the greatness of his love,
For he helps all those who suffer in silence.
Polish the mirror between the breaths,
Go with him beyond words.
He knows your every deed,
He is the one who moves the wheel
Of heaven in silence.
Every thought buried in your heart;
He will reveal them one by one, in silence.
Turn each of your thoughts into a bird,
And let them fly to the other world.
One is an owl, one is a falcon, one is a crow.
Each one is different from the others,
Yet they are all the same, in silence.
To see the moon that cannot be seen,
Turn your eyes inward and look
At yourself in silence.
In this world and the next,
Do not talk about this and that;
Let Him show you everything
Shining as one, in silence
How do we know we made the right decision?
Éric Baret:
If you took it, it is always bad; but you will see that,
in the end, it is always good,
because it was never you who took it.
It’s after that you say to yourself "I have
taken it”, but it was inevitable.
It’s always the good decision, but you never took it.
That’s what you have to see, you have no choice, the
problem does not arise.
In sensitivity, there is nothing to decide.
Forget the decision, it is not in your hands, for
the good reason that there are no independent entities.
That’s only later that you ask yourself the question.
If you go to an astrologer, he’ll tell you what
you are going to do, it is a waste of energy to find the
responsibility in this.
Life has already decided for you.
No chance, no idea,no choice. .

It is the repetitive mechanism of thought that is wearing you out. So, what is it that you can do about it? -- that's all that you can ask. That's the one and the only question, and any answer that I or anybody gives adds momentum to that movement of thought. What is it that you can do about it? Not one thing. It's too strong: it has the momentum of millions of years. You are totally helpless, and you cannot be conscious of that helplessness.
If you practice any system of mind control, automatically the 'you' is there, and through this it is continuing. Have you ever meditated, really seriously meditated? Or do you know anyone who has? Nobody does. If you seriously meditate, you'll wind up in the loony bin. Nor can you practice mindfulness trying to be aware every moment of your life. You cannot be aware; you and awareness cannot co-exist. *If you could be in a state of awareness for one second by the clock, once in your life, the continuity would be snapped,* *The illusion of the experiencing structure, the 'you', would collapse, and everything would fall into the natural rhythm.* In this state you do not know what you are looking at -- that is awareness. If you recognize what you are looking at, you are there, again experiencing the old, what you know.
What makes one person come into his natural state, and not another person, I don't know. Perhaps it's written in the cells. It is acausal. It is not an act of volition on your part; you can't bring it about. There is absolutely nothing you can do. You can distrust anyone who tells you how he got into this state. One thing you can be sure of is that he cannot possibly know himself, and cannot possibly communicate it to you. There is a built-in triggering mechanism in the body. If the experiencing structure of thought happens to let go, the other thing will take over in its own way. The functioning of the body will be a totally different functioning, without the interference of thought except when it is necessary to communicate with somebody. To put it in the boxing-ring phrase, you have to "throw in the towel," be totally helpless. No one can help you, and you cannot help yourself.
Sometimes opinions and beliefs isolate us
Should we have none, should we be just
Open and light-hearted, driven by the wind
Should we open ourself to the mystery
Concealed beneath thick layers of desire
The unfulfilled dreams of a thirsty conscience
Should we never be hungry, never thirsty
Hanging nothing on the walls of our thoughts
Keeping nothing and forgiving all
Should we leave everything at the threshold of our nights
And discover every morning, at last, this new day
That invites itself at the banquet of possibles
That one with sparkling hours rising straight and proud
Like bubbles bursting without return, renewed to the
Rhythm of the un-formed, of the non-becoming
Without wounds — never — why should there be
When every second contains them all
And when the mind is keen, sharp as a blade
When life offers herself, whole and ardent and never
For a moment ceases to be amazed at herself
At this love that irrigates her, incorruptible, never changing
That same one that moors us to the great Silence
For intimate apprenticeships, unexampled deliverances
Alone — yet feeling so vibrant and one with what is
